Two British Nationals Arrested Following Mass Train Stabbing, ‘Nothing To Suggest’ Attack Was Terrorism
Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the Huntingdon train stabbings are a 32-year-old Black British national and a 35-year-old British national of Caribbean descent, reports the BBC.
The mass stabbing on the 6.25pm train from Doncaster to London King’s Cross on Saturday evening left 10 people wounded, but thankfully there have been no fatalities as of yet.
In fact, four of the nine victims thought to be a life-threatening condition earlier today have since been discharged.
Police say “there’s nothing to suggest” the stabbing was a “terrorist incident”, so it will be interesting to see what they determine the motive to be once they’re done questioning the two suspects. After all, you don’t just wake up one day and decide you’re going to stab a bunch of random people on the train, do you?
Just one person thinking that would be crazy enough but to then convince and recruit someone else to do it? I know it’s best not to speculate and the police say there’s no reason to suggest it’s terror-related, but it is really odd for TWO people to be arrested for random mass stabbings of strangers on a train. Are they going to pull the mental health card on us, or what?

The two suspects were arrested after the train made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon station, where dozens of armed police officers were waiting.
One witness told the BBC they saw a man with a bloodied arm running down a carriage yelling “they’ve got a knife, I’ve been stabbed” – another witness says police tasered a man on a platform.
It’s good that the nationalities of the suspects have been released, but here’s hoping more information is forthcoming as it pertains to a motive and the well-being the victims.
