Trans Woman Jailed After Hiding Male Genitalia During Sex With Man
A transgender woman who failed to inform a man that she had male genitalia before having sex with him has been sentenced to 21 months in jail today.
We wrote about Ciara Watkin, 21, of Stockton-on-Tees, back in August, when she was initially found guilty of duping her 21-year-old male victim into sex.
As the victim was not made aware of Watkin’s transgender status, he could not have given informed consent, meaning she essentially “raped” him, you see.
Apparently, the whole time, the poor lad was none the wiser.

The pair met over Snapchat, texting each over a few weeks before meeting at a house in Thornaby.
After getting to know each other over a few drinks, they moved on to the bedroom, where Watkin told the victim she was on her period, meaning he couldn’t touch her below the waist as she performed sex acts on him.
A few days later, they met again at the victim’s house where more sexual activity took place. The victim’s mum and friends had met Watkin and suspected she was trans, but he wasn’t having any of it.
Watkin eventually blocked the man but then got back in touch with him, telling she had a “massive secret”, and finally informing him via text that she was trans and had male genitalia. Imagine his shock!

The victim, who was described in court as a ‘naive young man’, told the police that he ‘didn’t swing that way’ and felt ‘robbed of his manhood.’
In a police interview played in court, the victim said: “All the way throughout she made out she was fully a girl.”
“Throughout the full time, she was telling me she was on her period. It was like as far as I was concerned she was a female. It makes me feel like it’s taken away my manhood. I see it as something that upsets me. I’m just trying to hide my emotions. At first I did just have an emotional breakdown.”
Watkin told police she knew if the man believed she was trans, the relationship would have ended.
Watkin’s lawyers argued that Watkin is ‘so obviously male’ that the victim had to have known she was trans, and that he simply pretended that he didn’t know. Good shout, to be fair.

In the end, a jury at Teesside Crown Court convicted Watkin of two counts of sexual assault and one of assault by penetration (wait, what? I’m guessing that wasn’t with her penis otherwise there’s no way the victim could plead ignorance.)
Watkin will spend the next 21 months in prison, and the victim will spend the rest of his life in therapy. Probably.
