Trailer For Del Toro’s Frankenstein Is Here and It Looks Awesome
Netflix has released the full official trailer for director Guillermo del Toro’s hotly anticipated new film ‘Frankenstein’, and unsurprisingly, it looks completely awesome.
Here’s the official synopsis, followed by the trailer:
Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.
Does Del Toro know how to make a movie look good, or what? The guy is an absolute master at what he does and I’m sure it helps a lot that he loves the source material and is a big fan of the genre. There’s probably no other director in the world who loves monsters as much as he does so it’s no surprise that this looks like a masterpiece, at least based on the trailer.
The cast looks really good too: Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Lars Mikkelsen, Christoph Waltz and more. Not to mention – the monster (Jacob Elordi) speaks! In full sentences! Just like in the book.
Frankenstein hits cinemas on October 17, 2025 and will start streaming on Netflix on November 7. Not long to go then.
