Top Cop Retired Hours Before He Was Due To Be Sacked For Sending Nudes To Junior Officer
A top police officer in Manchester sent pictures of his penis and face to a junior female PC and begged to meet up with her outside of work after he got hold of her personal number.
Rob Cousen, commander of Greater Manchester Police’s Tameside division, decided to take early retirement just hours before a disciplinary hearing concluded that he was to be sacked.
The junior officer came forward and reported Chief Superintendent Cousen after he sent unsolicited photographs to her between February – May 2022.
The panel found that Cousen, who was on £100,000-a-year, did indeed send d1ck pics to the officer.
Deputy Chief Constable Terry Woods: ‘Frankly, this behaviour is far from the standard expected of any GMP officer, but particularly one who holds a rank where strong and professional leadership is the most fundamental requirement. Leadership without the best in quality, standards and behaviour is not leadership fit for the GMP of today.
‘I want to pay tribute to the female officer for having the courage to come forward and report this.’
Ten hours before he would have been sacked and had his name added to the College of Policing Barred List, Cousen retired from the police force.

Police watchdog director Amanda Rowe, from the IOPC, said: ‘As a senior officer, former Cousen knew perfectly well the standards of professional behaviour expected of him, whether on or off duty.
‘His actions were an abuse of his position, which must have been deeply unpleasant for the officer he targeted, and also seriously risks damaging the public’s confidence in policing.’
In the end, Cousen gets to retire, keep his pension and avoid the indignity of being fired, although there’s no escaping the shame of having this face plastered all over the internet alongside the headline ‘top cop sends nude pics to junior officer’.
What the hell was he thinking – so late into his career? As commander of Greater Manchester Police’s Tameside division, Cousen held a senior position that only few others rank above. Surely you’ve got to be absolutely sure the reaction is going to be a positive one if you’re crazy enough to send unsolicited d1ck pics to a junior officer when you’re that high up in the police force.
Absolute swing and a miss of the highest order, and a terrible look for the British police in general. Makes you feel gutted for the good ones, doesn’t it?
