Tommy Robinson Won’t Be Charged After Assault At St. Pancras Station
Charges will not be brought against Tommy Robinson after he was arrested on suspicion of GBH almost exactly one month ago on July 28.
British Transport Police were called to St Pancras station on the day after a man was assaulted, the aftermath of which went viral. Tommy has now re-shared the footage alongside a caption stating that the man had tried to attack him:
Remember the witness statements say I screamed do you want to try me ? You can clearly hear he shouted that , It was at this point that the man attempted to violently attack me . 💤 https://t.co/fiplSBI9Kv pic.twitter.com/ceYtOIXPkP

Robinson, 42, was arrested at Luton Airport on August 4 after returning home from a holiday in Portugal, and was insistent that the CCTV footage from the station would prove that he was defending himself.
The Crown Prosecution Service have now said that they will not charge Robinson because the alleged victim ‘did not wish to provide a statement to the investigation’.
A BTP spokesperson added: ‘Officers worked at pace to gather evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements; however, the victim did not wish to provide a statement to the investigation.
‘We presented the prosecution file to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) – who are responsible for considering the evidence available and deciding whether it meets the legal threshold to charge someone with an offence.
‘Following a review of the available evidence, the CPS concluded that there was not a realistic prospect of conviction and therefore there would be no criminal charges in this case.’
As the victim doesn’t want to press charges, it probably stands to reason that the CCTV footage showed him starting on Robinson before he was hit.
Now I can say it , fuck around & find out

Tommy also shared a two-minute video, where he said: ‘No case to answer, after police investigated it has been proven I was the victim and I was within the law to defend myself.
‘Why was I arrested at all? You had the footage you knew I was the victim.’
A rare win for Tommy Robinson where the law is concerned, although he may have another legal matter on his hands soon enough after his (since-deleted) Tweet last week landed an innocent black man right in it.
