TikToker Arrested For Terrifying Women On London Trains Says He Was “Just Trying To Be Funny”
The TikToker who was arrested this week for a string of incidents in which he sat next to lone female passengers on the London Underground and intentionally scared them has spoken out in his own defence, claiming he was “just trying to be funny.”
The influencer, who goes by “j1comedy” and “Unclej1”, filmed a bunch of ‘pranks’ in which he sits quietly next to lone women on the tube before starting to yell and gesticulate loudly, scaring his fellow passengers. Here are some examples:

Following his arrest, the TikToker has spoken out saying he “wasn’t trying to harm anyone”, commenting: “I’ve just seen everything online, I’m just letting you lot know I was joking. I was literally just trying to be funny. I’ve done something that other content creators do. I was just trying to be funny.”
Only problem is – nobody found the videos funny and all he ended up doing was scaring a bunch of innocent women.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “We are appealing for victims and witnesses following a spate of incidents on the London Underground. Officers investigating a series of distressing incidents where a man appears to scare lone females while sitting next to them on tube trains have made an arrest. The videos have been widely shared on social media and officers are now appealing to victims and witnesses to come forward. If you have any information that can assist this investigation please text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2500129554.”
In other videos on his TikTok account (at least the ones he hasn’t deleted), j1comedy is approaching random women and asking them if they find him attractive, which also appears to terrify them:

In fairness, he’d probably get away with that one if he was a stud.
In any case, British Transport Police told The Tab that the TikToker was arrested this week under the Public Order Act 1986, which criminalises behaviour that causes harassment, alarm, or distress in public. The offence carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison or a fine, or both.
