The Liz Truss Show: Former PM Promises To Confront ‘Deep State That Tried To Destroy Me’ In New Programme

Liz Truss had the most disastrous run as Prime Minister in British history – lasting a grand total of 49 days in 2022 – but that’s only because ‘the deep state’ sabotaged her, otherwise it would have been a roaring success.

That’s what the former Conservatives leader claims anyway, having previously hit out at ‘the deep state’ for blocking her efforts to cut taxes.

Truss is now launching The Liz Truss Show; billed as “a bold new programme in a media landscape dominated by groupthink and timid consensus”, and “unapologetic debate, fierce defence of western values, and straight-talking discussions about the future of Britain and the free world.”

She says: “The deep state tried to destroy me but now I’m back and excited to launch this show.”

Under her leadership, the pound fell to a 37-year low, and Truss has since urged Elon Musk to examine the “British deep state”, and has claimed Britain needs it own version of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement in order to overcome this hidden cabal.

Her new show promises commentary about “the free speech crisis and economic stagnation”, as well as mass migration, global instability, and the “cultural battles reshaping the West”.

Producers say it “confronts the issues that others tiptoe around”.

Truss says: “People in Britain, America and across the free world are tired of being talked down to. They’re tired of experts who get everything wrong, elites who refuse to listen and weak leaders who won’t stand up for Western values.

“In 2022, I was deposed as prime minister for trying to save Britain from the doom loop we are in. I was blamed for a market crisis that was not my fault … It’s time to push back, speak plainly and champion the ideas that built Britain – and can rebuild it again.”

I mean, at this rate, she may as well join Reform with the way she’s going on, but her political run was such a joke that I doubt Nigel Farage would welcome the association. I mean, there’s just no coming back from that lettuce meme, is there?

Still, it could be interesting to see what more she has to say about ‘the deep state’ on her show. There’s obviously loads of things going on in the shadows that none of us know about. Will Liz Truss be the one to expose it all?

The first episode releases today [Friday, December 5, 2025] on YouTube, Rumble, Spotify, X, and all the usual channels.
