The Influencer Who Was Filmed Admitting To A False Rape Accusation Has Been Charged, Cautioned & Put On Probation
The other week we wrote about the British health, fitness and positivity influencer who went viral for admitting to a false rape accusation on camera.
In case you missed it, a friend of the victim went ‘undercover’ and befriended Victoria Everest Ekong in a London gym, gaining her trust and managing to get a confession out of her while he secretly recorded (multiple parts, click the arrow on the IG video to slide through the clips):

And some backstory from the legend who filmed it:

Since we blogged the story, some new information has come to light on both social media and due to Victoria herself going on a podcast to talk about it all. There’s a pretty massive twist involved actually: the secret footage of her confession was actually taken years ago and leaked online years ago too, but for some reason didn’t go viral like it did the other day. In any case, at the time she ended up being charged, cautioned and put on probation.
Hilariously, Victoria initially claimed at the time that the video was AI (no, seriously), but she’s now gone on the Trend Central podcast and acknowledged that it’s real.
In the interview, Victoria claimed she wanted to “set the record straight” after being called her out for being an angry, hateful and vengeful person.
She said: “Whilst I said some extremely, extremely, you know, vile things in that video, a lot of people have really focused on the hate and the anger and I have to set the record straight.
“I witnessed the most horrific, horrific acts of domestic violence [growing up]. I kept finding myself in relationships with abusive men.
“People are quick to label you without knowing the full story. I’ve had to deal with things behind closed doors that the internet will never understand”
“As a result of that video being provided to the police, I was charged, cautioned, and I had to go on probation. So I have a criminal record.”
Well, I don’t think she can have any complaints about that. Absolutely diabolical behaviour to falsely accuse someone of rape and there really is no excuse for it whatsoever. Sounds like she’s worked that out for herself though, so here’s hoping she doesn’t do anything crazy like that ever again.
