Southport Killer Axel Rudakubana, 19, ‘Is Facing 52 Years In Solitary Confinement’

Southport killer Axel Rudakubana was sentenced to 52 years in prison after murdering three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July 2024, and it now looks as though he could be spending that entire time in solitary confinement.

The 19-year-old has already been segregated after allegedly throwing boiling water at a guard at HMP Belmarsh in south east London.

He’s also being kept apart from other inmates due to fears for his safety, although you might ask why anyone would have any concerns about that whatsoever, all things considered.

A 52-year sentence is the longest ever given to someone of Rudakubana’s age, and means he’ll be behind bars until he’s at least 70. Remember – 52 years is the point at which he can be considered for parole. If he’s still alive by then, the likelihood is that he’ll stay behind bars for as long as he lives.

A former inmate who served time alongside Rudakubana told The Sun: ‘He is at risk every day and was incredibly stupid to “kettle” the screw so early into his sentence. I wouldn’t be surprised if he spends the rest of his sentence in solitary.

‘All the inmates hate him and the prison officers won’t be happy with him either because he attacked one of their own. He will have nothing to help him pass the time.’

Rudakubana is now in the Contingency Suite at Belmarsh; a cell where a guard sits outside for 24 hours a day and checks on him every 30 minutes. Only the governnor and one other officer has a key to this cell, which might actually be 2 too many? Just throw away the key at this point!

The former inmate added that Rudakubana ‘lives like a tramp’, not washing or cutting his hair, has lost a ton of weight, and ‘was planning to kill himself.’

Sounds like it’s only going to get worse from here for the triple murderer, who also attempted to kill 10 others on that fateful day where he took the lives of Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.

Rudakubana was jailed for life after launching an attack on a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport last July, in which he murdered Bebe King (left), Elsie Dot Stancome (middle) and Alica da Silva Aguiar (right)

52 years stripped of freedom. Getting old. Probably dying in prison. Imagine not only being in jail from the age of 18 until 70+, but spending it all in solitary confinement too? The guy is already crazy enough as it is – he’ll go completely spare locked alone in a cell with only his thoughts for next 50+ years of his life.

Sounds like hell on Earth, but no less than what he deserves.
