South Park Faces Backlash Following Charlie Kirk’s Death, Pulls Episode From TV

It seems a few MAGA supporters are blaming South Park for the death of Charlie Kirk, after they put out an episode earlier this year mocking the late conservative influencer.

In the August 6 episode, titled ‘Got A Nut’, Cartman plays a version of Kirk, going to college campuses for open “debates” and culminating with the awarding of the “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters.

Here’s a clip:

As the Community Note helpfully points out, Charlie Kirk himself found the episode funny and had no issue with it, describing it as ‘hilarious’:

Even still, some MAGA types seem to want to point the finger at South Park for somehow contributing to any murderous sentiment toward Kirk:

Pretty stupid way of looking at things tbh, but either way, Comedy Central has pulled the rerun episode, which is probably for the best, all things considered.

I’m not sure if these people even believe what they’re saying or if they’re just so hurt and emotional over Kirk’s passing that they want to blame anyone and everyone, but surely even they realise that there are plenty of other factors that you can point the finger at before even getting close to South Park.

RIP Charlie Kirk – here’s the latest on the hunt for the shooter.
