Rod Stewart Is Being Slammed For His ‘Disturbing’ Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne
Rod Stewart is catching some flak after sharing an extremely weird tribute to Ozzy Osbourne while performing on stage in the US at the weekend.
The London-born rock legend, 80, thought it would be a good idea to pay homage to the Black Sabbath frontman by blasting a bizarre AI-generated tribute up on the big screens, featuring Ozzy holding a selfie stick while he poses with other dead music legends including Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Freddie Mercury, Tupac and… XXXTentacion?!
Watch below:
Bruh what, Rod Stewart’s tour features an AI video of Ozzy Osbourne taking selfies with XXXTentacion, Kurt Cobain, 2Pac, and many other artists in heaven 😭

Terrible on so many levels. I mean, I doubt Ozzy would have been offended but it’s just so tacky and lame and I can’t imagine Ozzy’s family appreciating it. Surely there must be someone on Rod Stewart’s team who’s clued up enough to stop this from happening? This is supposed to be a Rod Stewart concert ffs, not a 50-year-old’s Facebook profile.
The general reaction was on social media was not great.
One person wrote: “This is…astonishing. Upsetting and hilariously bad.”
Another said: “Omfg I was there too and was horrified by this!”
A third wrote: “I am shocked that no one told Rod that this was a terrible idea!!!”
A fourth added: “This is a crime that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.”
And a fifth said: “I f***ing hate people that use AI this way with all my soul.”
Fair play to Rod Stewart for the sentiment and trying to do something nice in the memory of his peer and someone he admired, but next time, maybe just cover a Sabbath song and be done with it. Just stay away from AI, whatever you do. Nothing good can ever come of it at a Rod Stewart show.
