Protester Climbs On King’s Cross Station Clocktower Holding A Dog
A man has climbed the King’s Cross station clocktower with his dog and a protest sign about freedom for Iran.
The incident has shut down part of the square outside the station and caused a bit of chaos for commuters, as the man unfurled a ‘Freedom to Iran’ sign and seemed to be sporadically live-streaming from his phone.
I’m not sure if it was really necessary to take the dog up there, especially knowing pet lovers in Britain. Hardly going to win people over to the cause, is it? Even if you agree with the messaging, you’ll still be annoyed at him!
Terrible placement for the QR code, on the top left there…

The dog appears to be a Papillon or Pomeranian-type dog?
One witness said on X: ‘A man with a dog protesting against what seems like the Islamic regime in Iran. I don’t know how but he managed to climb the clock tower of King’s Cross station.’
No idea either, especially while holding the dog. Pretty impressive actually, albeit completely stupid and dangerous. Still, it’s got us all talking about it, so mission accomplished on that front.
Emergency services have set up a cordon around the clocktower, and the fire brigade have brought in a crane to try to reach the man and dog.

British Transport Police told Metro: ‘Officers were called to King’s Cross railway station at around 8am today (2 September) following reports of a person in a precarious position.
‘The incident is ongoing and officers are in attendance alongside other emergency services, working to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.’
The man is probably going to be arrested once they get him down, which may have even happened by the time you read this. Then again the guy who climbed up Big Ben’s Elizabeth Tower a few months back was up there for 16 hours, so who knows what will happen?
Let’s just hope the dog makes it out of there safely, or else there’ll be hell to pay, mystery protester!
