Prison Officer Found Guilty Of Sex In Prayer Room With Inmate & Fling With Second Convict
The prison officer who had a sexual encounter with an armed robber in a prayer room whilst two other inmates stood guard has been found guilty this week.
Isabelle Dale, 23, carried on a sexual relationship with Shahid Sharif, 33, who was three years into a twelve-year sentence at HMP Coldingley in Surrey.
The two of them had a four-minute session in the prison prayer room, and while there’s no CCTV in the room itself, surveillance footage from outside showed the pair enter the room and close the door behind them. Four minutes later, they reemerged with Dale adjusting her belt buckle.

Days later, Dale later received a message from Sharif, saying: “It was good sharing dat love today ur p*****s ammaazzzeeeingggggg”. Shakespeare, eat your heart out!
The jury heard recordings of one chat, during which Dale gushed to Sharif: “I like that one baby…I’m so proud of you. My favourite one (rap) you’ve ever done…is the first one you ever sent me.”

Dale would address love letters to “Sneaky” (Sharif’s nickname) and even had “Sneaks” tattooed on the back of her neck, and referred to herself as ‘Miss Sneaky.’ I mean, if that’s not true love then I don’t know what is.
Dale also assisted Sharif and others in smuggling envelopes soaked with synthetic cannabis (AKA spice) into HMP Swaleside on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent following Sharif’s transfer. Officers discovered drug-smuggling equipment in Dale’s car alongside an engagement ring, which she claimed Sharif had purchased for her.
Dale was also found to have had a fling with another inmate named Connor Money (below), which police uncovered after going through her texts while investigating the relationship with Sharif.
In one text to Money, Dale wrote: “You maybe just wanting to use me because I’m an officer but I don’t think your like that xx”.

In the end, Dale was found guilty of two counts of misconduct in a public office and conspiracy to convey a ‘List A’ prohibited article into prison, and will be sentenced at a later date.
Unfortunately this does seem to happen a lot where young female prisoners fall for an inmate’s bad boy charm and end up making terrible decisions that cost them their jobs, so it does make you wonder what the prison system can do about it. Maybe it’s not a great idea to have female prison officers (especially 23 year old ones) working in men’s prisons? Seems it could be a reciple for disaster.

Then again, there must be loads of young female guards who don’t go around having sex with prisoners and smuggling drugs for them. Clearly though, better screening is needed.
