Police Hunt Well-Dressed Couple Who ‘Pepper-Sprayed’ Woman In Racist Attack At London Tube

A budget Bonnie Blue and Matthew McConaughey are being hunted by police after a woman was ‘pepper-sprayed’ and racially abused at a tube station in Central London.

As per Metro, the victim was walking into Bond Street Underground Station at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 11, when her pushchair collided with a woman who walking ahead of her.

The man then reportedly began shouting racial abuse at the victim, before the woman grabbed her hair.

The victim, who was with her two kids and sister, tried to defend herself, but then man then whipped out what he claimed was ‘pepper-spray’ and blasted it in the family’s direction. They then verbally abused the family some more before leaving the area.

Detectives have released an image of two people they want to speak to following an incident in which a woman was assaulted and subject to racial abuse with her family in central London. At around 7.30pm on Saturday 11 October the victim was entering Bond Street Underground station with her sister and two young children, one of whom was in a pushchair. A man and women were walking together in front of them when the woman collided with the pushchair. The man then began shouting racial abuse at the victim and her family, before the woman grabbed her hair. When the victim tried to defend herself the man pulled out a small bottle and said it was pepper spray before spraying it in the direction of the victim and her family. The woman shouted abuse and made lewd gestures at them before both parties left the area. Enquiries to establish what the substance was are ongoing. There were no ill effects reported. From that very clear picture, you would think it would be fairly easy to track these two delightful people down. However, a whole month following the incident, the police have yet to identify the couple, let alone locate them.

Anyway, it seems like these two may have been visiting London from abroad which does complicate things for the police. Still, it’s funny how Reddit and Twitter immediately figured out who these two were while the Met were apparently scratching their heads for a whole month.

Still, perhaps being named and shamed online and having your picture circulate all over the internet is a worse fate than being arrested and inevitably let off with a caution. They may have got away with any legal punishment, but the internet will never forget.
