Piers Morgan Apologises To Novak Djokovic For Criticising Him Over Not Getting COVID-19 Vaccine
Back when the pandemic was in full swing, Piers Morgan was ripping into anyone and everyone who refused to be vaccinated, including Novak Djokovic. A few years on, he’s now apologised to the tennis star after admitting that he was in the wrong. Piers Morgan? Admitting he was wrong? Shocker, I know.
Here’s the clip of Piers humbling himself during their sit-down interview this week:
NEW: Piers Morgan apologizes to tennis star Novak Djokovic for previously criticizing him for not getting the COVID-19 vaccination.
“I’m going to start by making an apology.”
“And it’s for this. I was very censorious about you over the COVID scandal that you got caught… pic.twitter.com/tOe7fMoxF4

Back in 2022, Morgan celebrated when it was announced that Djokovic would be banned from the Australian Open for refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Piers had said at the time: “Covid rule cheat, immigration form liar, & anti-vaxxer icon Novak Djokovic loses final appeal against deportation & will be thrown out of Australia without being able to compete in Aus Open. Good.”
Of course, it turns out Novak wasn’t trying to “sneak” into Australia at all, but rather had been given the all clear to enter the country, as did multiple other players, under the exemption that he had recently had Covid. It was only after he arrived that they denied him entry due to politics and then kicked a few other players out of the country as well to set an example.
In the end, it was complete government overreach just like all the the lockdowns and mandates the country had to endure, so good to see that Novak has been vindicated and Piers has had to eat humble pie. Onwards and upwards.
