Netflix Releases Trailer For New Transgender Film ‘Queen Of Coal’

Does anyone wake up in the morning with the dream of being a coal miner? Well, apparently this fictional transgender woman does in new movie ‘Queen of Coal’.

Netflix has released the official trailer for ‘Queen of Coal’ (alternate title – ‘Miss Carbon’); a film about a trans woman who dreams of working in coal mines but has to fight against the patriarchy to be accepted:

I actually saw the headline about this yesterday but was 100% sure it was AI or parody. I mean, if I had to make a Netflix parody ad, it would basically look something like this. So I skipped it. But when I saw it pop up on the timeline again today, I looked it up and sure enough – it’s legit. It has a 4.2 rating on IMDB, which isn’t great. But who knows? Maybe it will be better received by Netflix audiences when it lands on December 19.

At the same time, I’m not quite sure who the audience for it is. If it was a documentary about an actual trans person who dreams of being a coal miner, then maybe that would be interesting. But as we said earlier – literally no one dreams of being a coal miner. What kind of sicko has anything but nightmares about it? It just makes no sense at all why this movie is a thing.

Maybe it’s just put out there to wind up the usual suspects and to stoke division among the masses. It’s already getting people properly riled up on social media and crying about cancelling their Netflix subscriptions. So what else is new…?

Etc…
