A mass shooting has taken place during a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, and looking at some of the footage on X – it’s a bad one.

Early reports indicate at least three people were killed and several others injured. The exact number of casualties is still being confirmed by authorities.

Get a load of this absolute legend disarming one of the gunmen and risking his own life in the process:

Two men have since been arrested at the scene. One suspect was shot dead by responding officers, and the second was taken into custody after being injured. During the arrest, an Aussie bloke kicked one of the gunmen in the head:

The shooting took place near Campbell Parade at Bondi Beach during a Hanukkah event, at which around 2,000 people were present, including families and young children.

The attack unfolded around 6:40 p.m. local time on Sunday, the first night of Hanukkah.

Authorities have now cordoned off the area and are urging the public to avoid Bondi Beach. I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more about it the coming hours and days.

RIP to the victims and let’s hope it’s all under control now.
