Man And Woman Charged After Girl, 12, Pulled Out ‘Knife And Axe’ At Couple In Dundee

Major plot twist in the case of the 12-year-old girl who was arrested and charged for whipping out an axe and a knife at a couple in Dundee the other week. There have now been two further arrests in the saga: a man and a woman.

Annoyingly, Police Scotland have not identified the man and woman or the nature of the charges, just the fact they’re been charged, but you would have to assume it’s the Bulgarian couple who were involved in the incident: Fatos Ali Dumana, 21, and his wife.

In the absence of any other information, the people who were originally convinced that this 12-year-old girl was simply defending herself from a member of a migrant grooming gang are now convinced that they were right all along, and that the girl is a hero who was unjustly arrested.

A spokesperson for the police said: ‘Following extensive enquiries, a man and a woman have been charged in connection with an incident in St Ann Lane in Dundee, which was reported around 7.40pm on Saturday, August 23.

‘The circumstances will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

‘A girl, previously charged with being in possession of offensive weapons, will be referred to the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration and the Procurator Fiscal.

‘Members of the public are again urged not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances.’

I mean, they’re kind of asking people to share misinformation (or at least make assumptions) by not sharing any more details themselves. The only way to nip any misinformation and speculation in the bud would be by releasing the facts, but I guess they’re worried that this could prejudice any future court case. In that case, it might have been better to say nothing at all.

Interestingly, we were initially told that there was CCTV footage of the incident which proved Fatos and his wife were attacked by the girl and her gang, but obviously there’s more to it if the couple have now been charged alongside her, albeit a week into the investigation. Maybe they all knew each other previously?

If indeed, it is Fatos and his wife that were charged. It could be the girl’s parents, who knows? Can’t Police Scotland at least release the ages of the couple they charged? Go on, give us a clue.
