Madness As ‘British Patriot’ Pushes Council Worker Off Ladder As He Tries To Take Down England Flag

Even if you’re a massive fan of England flags going up everywhere, surely you don’t agree with council workers being shoved off ladders for simply doing their jobs by taking the flags down.

Well, unless you’re journalist David Atherton, who think it’s a great thing to witness:

Are your flag-shagging sensibilities seriously worth putting someone in harm’s way? The guy could have been seriously injured, or worse. Just a council worker doing his job! Not exactly a great advert for the decent, law abiding British patriots who are just harmlessly patriotic and definitely not ideologically possessed in any way.

UPDATE: Salford City Council has confirmed that the council worker wasn’t even there to remove a flag, he was doing something else completely. In fact the council has announced that it has no policy on removing flags unless they present a very clear safety risk or constitute criminal damage. Which makes the whole thing even dumber than we initially thought.

Come on patriots, sort it out.
