London Mayor Sadiq Khan Says Donald Trump ‘Has A Crush On Me’
The Sadiq Khan/Donald Trump feud just got even dumber with the London mayor suggesting that the reason Trump keeps talking about him is because he ‘has a crush on me.’
At the UN assembly yesterday, Trump hilariously/stupidly claimed that Sadiq Khan wants to bring Sharia Law to London.
Trump said: ‘I look at London, where you have a terrible mayor, terrible, terrible mayor, and it’s been so changed. Now they want to go to Sharia law but you’re in a different country, you can’t do that.’
In response yesterday, a spokesperson for Sadiq Khan said he was ‘not going to dignify his appalling and bigoted comments with a response’. However, he’s done just that today after being asked about Trump’s comments during the launch of London’s new route on the Bakerloop (BL1), an electric bus service connecting communities from Waterloo to Lewisham,
Khan said: ‘People will be wondering what it is about this Muslim mayor who leads a liberal, multicultural, successful, diverse city. It seems to me that I’m living rent free inside Donald Trump’s head.’
When asked why Trump seems obsessed with him, the London mayor said: ‘I think he’s got a crush on me. It’s either that or he believes in giving me squatters rights inside his head.’
Seems like this beef is destined to go on forever because neither one of these two is willing to let the other have the last word. If you remember, it all began way back in 2016 when Khan condemned Trump’s proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States. Trump, in response, challenged the newly elected London mayor to an IQ test. Sadly, it never transpired.
Then, in 2019, Trump called Khan a “stone-cold loser” and the “twin of de Blasio, except shorter”. Khan then approved a permit for protesters to fly a giant “Trump baby” blimp.
Most recently in 2025, Trump claimed he had personally requested that Khan not be invited to events during the visit to London, and then followed that up with his comments at the UN. Which brings us to today and Khan’s claim that Trump has a crush on him.
A real sign of the times when you’ve got two major political figures talking about ‘living rent free’ and having a crushes on each other. They hate each other so much that they’ve never even met, and probably never will, at this rate. No doubt Trump’s response to the crush allegations will be forthcoming…
