Local Councilor Tells Interviewer She Was ‘Born & Bred Here’, Then Checks Herself As If She Said Something Terrible
Bizarre clip doing the rounds today as Reform UK Falkirk councilor Claire Mackie-Brown tells a TV interviewer that she was “born and bred here”, and then appears absolutely mortified at what she just said, before the interviewer weighs in against her for saying it.
Pretty extraordinary:
A Reform councillor has been left embarrassed after a car crash interview where she was grilled over a local rape case.

Is there anything wrong with saying you were “born and bred here”? Well, maybe if you’re a Reform UK councilor who immediately chastises themselves for saying it, when in truth, nobody else would have noticed. Effectively by her own admission, Mackie Brown was “saying the quiet part out loud”, but it’s only her reaction that gave it away.
The good news for her is that most people can’t understand a word she’s saying, so maybe the footage will go under the radar somewhat. Might need some PR training either way.
