Keir Starmer Collapses Under Questioning On Digital ID During Live Interview
The plan to introduce digital ID in the UK has not gone down well with the British public, so you’d think Keir Starmer would at least try to be halfway convincing when asked to go into detail about how exactly the ‘Brit-card’ will work. Or more specifically, how it would solve the issues that he claims it is being brought in to solve.
When asked by a BBC viewer whether he truly believes employers who hire illegally will be put off by a requirement to ask for digital ID, Sir Keir had this to say:

So his response is basically “we have to be really clear that they must check”, which is going to strike fear into the hearts of absolutely no one and people who want to work/employ illegally will continue to do so because it’s the easiest thing in the world to simply not ask for the documents.
As the host points out, employers who don’t ask to see National Insurance Numbers aren’t now going to suddenly ask for digital ID, just because Keir Starmer has gone into strict headmaster mode.
The only way it would work is if if they mandate digital currency, which could very well be the next step after digital ID. At that point, it’s complete government control. Maybe Keir Starmer knows that this is the answer already, but is smart enough not to reveal it at this point. However, if people are kicking up this much of a fuss over digital ID, just imagine how hardcore the backlash will be against the idea of a cashless society? Fun times ahead…
Meanwhile, the petition to block digital ID is nearing 2.5 million already. Those are unprecedented numbers at this point, surely?
