Jay Slater’s Chilling Final Snapchat To Pal That Was Sent After His Death Revealed
I am very sorry to inform you that the Jay Slater news cycle is still in effect, after his family signed up for a Channel 4 documentary in which new information about the British teenager’s final moments before his death will be revealed.
The 19-year-old was one of the biggest summer stories of 2024 after he went missing in Tenerife, and was later found dead after falling into a ditch during a 14-hour trek home while high on drink and drugs.
Jay’s mum Debbie has now revealed that she had uncovered an unsent Snapchat message to his friend Bradley Geoghegan that was written moments before his death, but sent after he died when she logged into her son’s Snapchat account.

His pal Bradley understandably got a pretty big shock when the message came through.
The message read: ‘Listen, I’m not going to make it’.
Debbie explained: “When we signed into Jay’s Snapchat there was an unsent message from Jay to Brad.
“So the message was obviously just flying around and then the message sent to Brad, which obviously gave Brad a fright.
“He messaged me straight away ‘are you on Jay’s phone?’. I said yeah we’ve just signed into his Snapchat.
“He said ‘I’ve just got a message that’s just come through from Jay’. The last message he sent.
“He said ‘listen, I’m not going to make it’. It’s kind of like he knew he just wasn’t going to make it.”
Debbie revealed there had been “a lot of activity” on Jay’s iPhone that night, including around 70 calls, and a final 22-second call to pal Lucy Mae Law at 8.50am.
Jay’s phone ran out of battery when the call with Lucy suddenly ended after he revealed he only had 1% remaining.

And so, after all the conspiracy theories that were doing the rounds, it does sound as though Jay got lost in the middle of his trek in the early hours of the morning and ended up falling 80 feet down a ditch to his death. Why he would attempt a 14-hour trek at that time of night/day will never be known for sure, but it probably had something to do with the fact that he’d been partying hard in the hours leading up to that decision, so it might have sounded like a good idea at the time.
There are still questions remaining over a £12,000 Rolex Jay claimed to have stolen on the night he died, and a convicted drug dealer who was one of the last people to see Jay alive, but ultimately it doesn’t seem like these were factors in his death.
Hopefully his family will say what they need to say on this upcoming Channel 4 documentary, and then we can all move on from the Jay Slater saga once and for all. Cheers.
