Jake Paul Vs Anthony Joshua Confirmed By Netflix As Full Rules & Details Revealed
Amazingly, it looks like the Jake Paul Vs Anthony Joshua is actually going ahead with Netflix confirming ‘it’s real’ on a social media post and adding a countdown to the fight on their website.
The fight is only 32 days away, with the YouTuber-turned-boxer set to take on the two time heavyweight champion on December 19 live from Miami, Florida on Netflix at 8pn ET (1am in the UK).
Netflix also confirmed the fight would be a ‘professional heavyweight bout’; meaning full rounds, judges and no tricks or gimmicks or ‘exhibition’ tags.
Eddie Hearn had told Sky Sports previously: “No, not an exhibition. We’re not interested in exhibitions. It’s a real fight. There’s stuff to be resolved and discussed. It would be a real fight with Queensberry rules, 10 ounce gloves. The rounds would be agreed.
Yes, it’s real.

I really can’t believe it’s actually happening. It was only around 18 months ago when Jake Paul lost just about every round to an unremarkable Tommy Fury, and how he’s going up against Anthony f***ing Joshua, who may be getting on a little bit, but still flatlined Francis Ngannou recently. Surely there’s no way this goes past a round unless it’s a fix?
If AJ fights to his full potential, this could end up being quite the spectacle. And by quite the spectacle I mean Jake Paul brutally KO’d in a matter of seconds. Joshua is already worth about £150 million, so I can’t see him ruining his legacy in order to either take a dive for Paul or make him look better than what he actually is.
Then again, are we underestimating Jake Paul a little bit? You can’t deny the lad has balls of steel and an insane amount of self-belief to even put himself in this position, and he has beaten everyone who’s stepped into the ring with him thus far (bar Tommy Fury), even if they were all old men, retired fighters and tomato cans.
One thing’s for sure – a lot of people will be tuning in on December 19 to watch this go down. Can’t wait.
