Huw Edwards ‘Plans TV Comeback’ After Posting Moody New Black & White Headshot
You would think that disgraced former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards was unemployable at this point, but apparently he’s got his mind set on a TV comeback.
The paedo presenter posed for a moody new professionally-taken headshot and posted it on Facebook the other day:

In case you forgot what the Huw Edwards scandal was all about; it all started in July 2023 when The Sun reported that an unnamed, high-profile BBC presenter had paid a young person over £35,000 for sexually explicit photos, starting when that person was 17. £35,000! He could have bought the lad’s kidney for that.
The boy’s family had complained to the BBC in May 2023, but the complaint was initially kept under wraps (classic BBC) and not escalated quickly enough. The police investigated the claims but found no evidence of criminal conduct in this specific case.
Huw Edwards’s name was at the top of the rumour mill online, and so in the end, his wife named him as the presenter involved in a statement to the press. She revealed he was suffering from “serious mental health issues” and had been hospitalised.
The actual criminal charges brought against Edwards were unrelated to the aforementioned case and stemmed from a separate police investigation into a convicted sex offender Alex Williams.
Turns out Huw Edwards had received 41 indecent images of children via WhatsApp from Williams between December 2020 and August 2021, including some classified as Category A, the most serious classification, depicting a child aged about seven to nine.
Edwards pleaded guilty to the charges and, in September 2024, was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Which is the exact same sentence that Joey Barton received earlier this week for sharing ‘grossly offensive’ social media posts. Huh.

And so, Huw Edwards got off very lightly indeed, although he did also have to return £200,000 in salary to the BBC that he made between his arrest and resignation. The question is – what the hell is he playing at with this new headshot photo? Putting feelers out there in case any channel or production company wants to bring him back into the fold?
I really cannot see that happening because the public backlash would be astronomical, but maybe he really is deluded enough to think that it might happen. I guess he thought 2/3 years was enough time for everyone to forget what he did?
Maybe a run on Celebrity Big Brother or I’m A Celebrity is his best course of action here. He can’t just pop up on BBC News again like nothing happened, can he? Although if the BBC had it their way, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was back on our screens by the end of the week.
