Hot Mic Catches President Putin and President Xi Jinping Talking About Organ Transplants And Immortality

Quite a hot mic moment on CCTV in Beijing this week as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping, both 72 years old, were caught casually talking about living to 150 years old and maybe forever thanks to organ transplants.

Xi: These days, 70 years old you’re still a child.

Putin: Biotechnology is continuously developing … human organs can be continuously transplanted. The longer you live, the younger you become and you can even achieve immortality.

Xi: Some predict that in this century humans may live to 150 years old.

I guess quitting smoking, taking up exercising, eating salads, and doing all the normal things that a doctor would recommend can only take you so far. If you want to live to 150 years old, you’ve got to get into experimental biotechnology and organ transplants. Which is entirely possible if you’re as rich and powerful as Putin or Xi Jinping. These two septuagenarians could end up outliving us all!

Would living to 150/forever really be worth it, though? Must be fairly exhausting to have to deal with the stuff they deal with on a day to day basis. Not to mention that your bones and muscle and brain will still age even if you do make it to 150. What good is living that long if you’re stuck in a chair all day? Maybe they both know that they’re going to hell and are trying to put off eternal damnation for as long as possible.

Still, if I were a betting man, I’d bank on both Putin and Xi Jinping dying at normal ages. Biotechnology just isn’t that far advanced yet, as far as we know. Unlucky fellas. Maybe in the next life.
