Gary Lineker Asks People To Send Selfies; Gets Trolled To The Extreme Instead

Clearly Gary Lineker does not know the internet, if his latest media campaign is anything to go by.

This week Walkers launched their #WalkersWave campaign, where fans were encouraged to tweet pictures of themselves to be generated onto a video of Lineker holding a photo. People who sent their selfies are in with a chance of winning some Championship League tickets. What could possibly go wrong?

Nice work internet. I don’t understand how Walkers didn’t predict this would happen – we all saw what happened with Boaty McBoatface. They were asking for it. Thankfully good old Gary took it on the chin:
