Family Of Boy Who Was Thrown From 10th Floor Of Tate Modern Provide Update
Back in August 2019, a teenager picked up a French tourist’s 6-year-old son and launched him off the 10th floor of the Tate Modern in London, leaving the child with horrific life-changing injuries and nearly killing him.
Then-19-year-old Jonty Bravery, who has autism and obsessive compulsive disorder, spent more than 15 minutes stalking potential victims at the tourist attraction before fixing on a young boy who had briefly left his parents’ side. He ‘scooped (the victim) up and, without any hesitation, carried him straight to the railings and threw him over’.

Jonty Bravery was given a life sentence of ‘at least 15 years’ for attempted murder, with the judge telling him “you may never be released.” Jonty is on course to fulfill that prophecy after attacking a female staff member at Broadmoor and then raping a fellow inmate in the showers at Belmarsh when he was transferred there.
Finally, however, there is a positive update to the whole saga. The young French boy, who had suffered a brain bleed and multiple broken bones as a result of the attack, has made a remarkable recovery – and is now able to run, jump and swim again. How awesome is that?
A GoFundMe page set up for the boy’s family has raised more than £470,000 — more than double its original target.
In a recent update on the page, the boy’s family said: ‘Back home, he was also able to practice on his tricycle, always with his dad for his safety.
‘Our son also continues to gain cognitive endurance. His memory skills are still very limited, but they are functional and still improving, so he is acquiring a general knowledge at his own pace, which increasingly allows him to be included with other children.
‘Today, our pre-teen (we have to face the facts, he’s not a little boy anymore) has understood that he needs to give himself breaks; we need to remind him less.
‘Finally, our little knight had long set himself the goal of being able to run, jump, and swim again. He can’t do it like other children his age, of course, but we can no longer describe what he does in any other way than by saying it’s running, jumping, and swimming.’

Incredible. According to the family, the lad is also due for another surgery in early 2026, which could help him progress even further.
I don’t know if a total, full recovery is on the cards, but here’s hoping he can get as close to that as possible. I still can’t imagine how his poor victim’s family kept themselves from murdering Jonty Bravery at the Tate Modern. I mean imagine being on holiday and some lunatic throws your kid off a roof? A happy family vacation turned into a living nightmare in a matter of seconds.
Best of luck to the young lad on his continued recovery, and here’s hoping the piece of sh1t that is Jonty Bravery is never released.
