Epping Hotel Asylum Seeker Who Sexually Assaulted Girl Freed By Mistake

A manhunt is underway after an asylum seeker who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and woman was accidentally freed from prison yesterday (Friday, October 24). Of all the people to accidentally release!

Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, 38, was jailed for 12 months back in September – but has was mistakenly released from HMP Chelmsford in Essex and is thought to have boarded a train to London.

He was only behind bars for four weeks before the ‘human error’ that led to his release. Worse still, he was meant to be sent to an immigration centre to be deported, but could now be roaming the streets and hiding out anywhere in the country.

The Prison Service officer responsible for the c0ck-up has been removed from duties, according to Metro.

Deputy prime minister David Lammy is ‘appalled’ at the human error which allowed the inmate to walk free.

Lammy said: ‘I am appalled at the release in error at HMP Chelmsford. We are urgently working with the police to track him down and I’ve ordered an urgent investigation.

‘Kebatu must be deported for his crimes, not on our streets.’

Chelmsford MP Marie Goldman added: ‘The police must do everything they can to ensure that this man is returned to custody immediately so that he is deported at once,’ the politician said.

‘Once the manhunt is over, there must be a full, rapid public inquiry into how this happened.’

Kebatu had been living at the Bell Hotel in Epping at the time of his crimes, which sparked multiple violent anti-immigration protests and counter rallies. These demonstrations then spread to other migrant hotels around the country.

Ethiopian national Kebatu told two teenagers he wanted to ‘have their babies’ before trying to kiss them, putting his hand on one of the girls’ thighs, and stroking her hair.

He also sexually assaulted a woman by trying to kiss her and putting his hand on her leg.

Kebatu was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and harassment without violence. At his sentence, he said he wanted to be deported.

Protesters outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, believed to be housing asylum seekers, where there have been a number of demonstrations, after police charged 38-year-old asylum seeker Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu with sexual assault following an incident where he is alleged to have attempted to kiss a 14-year-old girl. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds said he could understand people's frustrations at hotels being used to house asylum seekers but insisted that had come down from around 400 hotels to "just over 200". So yeah, an absolutely calamity of a situation in what seems to be a string of calamitous situations in the UK right now. I mean, this guy is probably one of the most notable dodgy migrants in the country. What sort of idiot doesn’t know he’s being sent for deportation and releases him?

Here’s hoping the police catch him ASAP, and potentially by the time you read this. Expect this story to be weaponised by Nigel Farage and Reform as they appear to be gifted one of these every other week now.
