Bizarre plot twist in the saga of the Astronomer CEO and his HR exec who were caught getting cosy on Coldplay kiss cam – it turns out they weren’t having an affair at all. Well, that’s according to a source close to the would-be HR mistress.
Ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his former HR exec Kristin Cabot were ‘just friends’ when he was caught with his hands around her t1ts on the Coldplay kiss cam – and apparently Cabot’s husband was on a date at the same concert as the viral moment unfolded. Huh?
The source told People: “Kristin and Andy had an excellent working relationship, a great friendship.”
“There was no affair. It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job – all of that is unfair.”
Well, whatever was going on, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal if they didn’t behave so guiltily the moment it happened – ducking out of the way and scrambling to hide their faces:

The AI-centric New York firm where they both worked launched an investigation and CEO Andy Byron resigned the next day, with Cabot stepping down a week later.
The source added: “It is important to note how inappropriately mislabeled Kristin has been – as a homewrecker.”

Cabot, 52, filed for divorce from her husband in August – a month after the clip went viral. However, her husband Andrew told People that the pair had already been separated before the concert fiasco. Which means technically, it wouldn’t have counted as an affair, even though she was still legally married.
The source claimed that Andrew was also having his own fling at the very same concert.
“Kristen and Andrew had been living apart,” People’s source said, noting that Cabot’s soon-to-be-ex-husband was also “at the Coldplay concert on a date.”
“It was not a company event. There was no company box. It was a night with a big group of friends and an inappropriate moment.”
The weirdest part about this update coming out now is that the whole saga was basically forgotten about already. Why release another story talking about “devastation to the families” if you don’t want it all dug up again?
Might have been a good idea to put this out immediately to quash the rumours when they started, rather than spend months coming up with it.
