‘British Patriot’ Completely Loses The Plot After Police Officer Refuses To Shake His Hand

A self-proclaimed British patriot went into complete meltdown after a police officer turned down the opportunity to shake his hand at a political protest the other day, and shared it online in hopes that others would join in on the outrage.

Instead, he ended up looking like a complete prat and everyone sided with the copper:

As the Community Note helpfully points out: Section 3.1 of the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Police Officers in England & Wales mandates treating people impartially. Shaking hands at a political protest could give rise to accusations of bias and so the officer shown is acting professionally & respectfully.

So basically, the police officer is doing his job by remaining impartial and not allowing himself to be exploited for an X video, but this guy can’t help but take it personally. You can’t bang on about free speech and two tier policing and then expect to have it both ways, can you?
