Brit Who Tried To ‘Marry Nine-Year-Old Girl At Disneyland’ Complains Of Violence In Jail As He’s Denied Bail

The Brit who was arrested for trying to stage a fake wedding to a nine-year-old at Disneyland Paris has complained of experiencing violence in French jail after having his bail denied.

Jacky Jhaj, 40, is a convicted paedophile who was found guilty of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds in 2016 and had spent four years in prison previously.

In June earlier this year, he paid $130,000 (£111,000) to stage a wedding ceremony at Disneyland Paris which took place at dawn in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle.

Police were alerted shortly after the ‘ceremony’ began as his bride was evidently a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl with ‘4 inch heels taped to her feet.’ WTF?

Jhaj later told police that he was making a video for social media. So, just roleplaying as a nonce this time?

Disney confirmed in a statement at the time that the area been privately hired for the ceremony on 21 June 2025, which involved the help of an agency to recruit nearly 80 extras, according to France Bleu. Disney noted: ‘a private event planned in our destination was immediately cancelled by our teams after the identification of important irregularities’.

Four people, including Jacky Jhaj and the girl’s 41-year-old mum, were taken into custody. The other arrestees were two Latvian men, aged 55 and 24.

Now, four months after being charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft, Jacky Jhaj has made a plea to be released on bail while he remains on pre-trial detention.

Instead, after noting that Jhaj is also wanted by the Met Police in the UK  for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders’ Register notification requirement, the judge denied him bail and requested to extend his detention instead.

During the hearing at the Meaux judicial court, Jhaj’s lawyer, Etienne Arnaud, argued that Jhaj had been the ‘victim of violence’ at the hands of other inmates over his four months behind bars, with some apparently setting fire to his mattress. Doesn’t sound like the judge was too sympathetic.

In his London funeral stunt, Jhaj reportedly paid over £10,000 to a funeral director for the service

Jhaj’s lawyer insists that his client was merely shooting a film at Disneyland when he attempted to marry a ‘scared and confused’ nine-year-old Ukrainian girl, which might be halfway believable if he didn’t already have an extremely dodgy history when it comes to sexual assault and filming videos with minors.

In 2023, Jhaj organised a fake red carpet scene in London’s Leicester Square, with 90 children and dozens more teenage extras hired to play a cheering crowd.

Child actors as young as six were hired as extras dressed in school uniforms and asked to pretend to faint as Jhaj walked up and down wearing a red tuxedo as if he were a film star outside the Odeon Luxe cinema. Teenage girls told the BBC that they were told to scream his name and try to touch him.

He was arrested following the fake movie premiere for breaching a sexual harm prevention order and fined £1,500.

Definitely the kind of guy who other inmates would take an extreme disliking to, so I guess he can expect the brutal treatment he’s been receiving in prison to continue. Who knows? He might even get Ian Watkins’d at some point. That’s what can happen when you mess with kids.
