Anthony Williams, 32, Charged With 10 Counts Of Attempted Murder After Huntingdon Train Stabbings
A man has been charged in connection with the mass stabbing that took place on board the Doncaster – London King’s Cross train on Saturday evening, which left 11 people injured.
Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough, has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm and one count of possession of a bladed article.
Amazing how fast the details can come out when they want them to, isn’t it?
Indeed, according to the Guardian, police felt ‘pressured to disclose details of the suspects in order to counter far-right speculation’, after all the drama that occurred due to the secrecy over the Southport stabbings earlier this year. No doubt there’ll be a few people out there who are hugely disappointed that the guy’s name isn’t Mohammed.

It was initially reported that a 32-year-old Black British national and a 35-year-old British national of Caribbean descent had been arrested in connection with the Huntingdon train stabbing, but the latter has since been released and only the 32-year-old is now being treated as a suspect.
The police do not believe the attack was terror-related and have not offered a motive yet.
If two people had been involved, it would have been difficult to assume it was anything other than a terror attack, but as it’s just the one suspect now, we could very well be dealing with someone who’s simply not right in the head.
Tracy Easton, chief Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service Direct, said: ‘Our team of out-of-hours prosecutors worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.’

No doubt we’ll have more information about Anthony Williams, his background and history in the coming hours and days.
