Bondi Beach Hero Revealed As Muslim Fruit Seller Ahmed Al Ahmed – Shot Twice After Disarming Shooter

One of the craziest videos coming out of the terror attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, today is the footage of a man sneaking up behind one of the shooters and disarming him, almost certainly saving multiple lives in the process.

This absolute legend has now been identified Ahmed al Ahmed, 43, a Muslim father-of-two with no gun experience who works as a fruit seller in the city.

Ahmed was shot twice by the other shooter following his heroics, but thankfully survived. Here he is being treated in the aftermath:

His cousin Mustafa told 7News: ‘He’s in hospital and we don’t know exactly what’s going on inside.

‘We do hope he will be fine. He’s a hero 100 percent. He was shot once in his arm and again in his hand.’

At least twelve people have been confirmed dead after gunmen opened fire on Bondi Beach today, with at least 29 taken to hospital with injuries. The attack on a Jewish Chanukah celebration has been declared a terror incident.

One of the gunmen was shot dead by responding officers, and the other was taken into custody. Here he is being attacked by a random Aussie bloke as officers apprehend him:

Big up to Ahmed Al Ahmed – unbelievably brave to get involved in the way he did. He could have easily ran off or started filming from a distance like everyone else (not that you’d necessarily begrudge that sort of behaviour). Absolute hero putting his own life on the line, and also a bit of a m1nd-f*ck for anyone who will be spreading anti-Muslim rhetoric in the wake of this tragedy.
