Make-Up Artists At The BBC Used ‘Saliva’ And ‘Other Bodily Fluids’ On Nigel Farage’s Face

Wild claim being made by former BBC presenter Lisa Hilton this week, who claims that make-up artists at the channel have been putting “human saliva” and “other bodily fluids” on Nigel Farage’s face.

Historian and best-selling author Hilton, who has presented BBC documentaries such as Charles I: Downfall of a King and Bloody Queens: Elizabeth and Mary, says that Farage’s face has been painted with deliberately contaminated brushes when he’s appeared on BBC shows.

Obviously this would be absolutely shocking, disgusting and criminal if true, so what evidence does Lisa Hilton have that it happened?

Well, she says she heard it from a ‘morning news veteran’, and wrote in The Critic: ‘Naming no names, but Nigel Farage might want to start doing his own face, given the extraordinarily imaginative range of natural cosmetics which the brushes are loaded with when he’s in the chair.’

Richard Eden, who covered this story for MailOnline, says he was “told” these ‘natural cosmetics’ include human saliva and other bodily fluids.

BBC sources have outright denied the claim, describing it as “completely false.” It’s worth noting again that the claim comes from Lisa Hilton, who has done a couple documentaries for the BBC and also worked on BBC Radio. She says she heard it from a ‘morning news veteran’, who I guess must have heard it from someone on the make-up team. So yeah, not exactly strong independent evidence.

Nigel Farage has yet to comment but it does seem like the sort of thing that he might want to jump all over as “proof” that the BBC is biased against him. It wouldn’t be bad timing as far as he’s concerned, especially with the story currently running about him being a racist pr1ck to his classmates at Dulwich College.

Whatever you think of Nigel Farage, I’m sure we can all agree that it would be just plain wrong for the make-up ladies at the BBC to do such a thing, so let’s hope it’s just a silly rumour that got out of hand. Unless Lisa Hilton would like to elaborate, name some names maybe?
