Tyson Fury Says He’s Placing £1 Million On Jake Paul To KO Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul Vs Anthony Joshua is officially set for December 19 live on Netflix, and most people are not giving the YouTuber-turned-boxer a hope in hell against the British two-time heavyweight champion.

Amazingly, one person who does think Jake Paul will get the job done is Tyson Fury, who announced he will be making a £1 million wager on Jake Paul knocking Anthony Joshua out. What the hell?

Fury said: “Jake Paul chins AJ, yes. 100 per cent. If they fight, I’m putting a million pounds on Jake Paul. I think that AJ is a spent force, and I think Jake Paul is on the rise. I like his new heavyweight look, he is a bit chubby, a bit bulky, he is getting there.”

Now it could very well be that Tyson Fury is saying this to mess with Anthony Joshua’s head and won’t be putting down any bet in favour of Jake Paul at all, but it does make you wonder whether the rest of us might be underestimating the underdog going into this fight.

I mean, it is true that AJ is past his prime, but he did brutally KO Francis Ngannou not too long ago. Meanwhile, it was only around 18 months ago that Jake Paul lost basically every round to an unremarkable Tommy Fury, so what exactly is Tyson Fury seeing here that the rest of us aren’t?

Oppositely, John Fury is having absolutely none of it:

Classic. Think we’re going to have to share Big John’s sentiments on this one.

After all, aside from age, Anthony Joshua has the full advantage, at least on paper:

We’ll have to wait and see how it pans out in one month’s time. No doubt there’ll be plenty of shenanigans until then at the press conferences and whatnot. We may even see Jake Paul p-ssy out in the week before the fight, who knows? Fair play to him if he doesn’t, though. Can’t deny the lad has b@lls of steel.
