Nine People In Life-Threatening Condition After Mass Stabbing On Doncaster – London Train

Another terrifying mass stabbing in the UK as 10 people were left wounded in the carriages of the 6.25pm train from Doncaster to London King’s Cross yesterday evening.

Details have not been immediately forthcoming, so here’s what we know for sure thus far:

– Ten people are in hospital, nine with life-threatening injuries.

– 999 calls from passengers were made at around 19:40.

– Two people have been arrested after the train made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon station, where dozens of armed police officers were waiting.

– One witness told the BBC they saw a man with a bloodied arm running down a carriage yelling “they’ve got a knife, I’ve been stabbed” – another witness says police tasered a man on a platform.

What we still don’t know is the identities of the 10 people who were stabbed, the details of the two people who were arrested, and the motive for their attack. British Transport Police say counter-terrorism officers are “working to establish the full circumstances and motivation.”

Meanwhile, Keir Starmer Tweeted the standard response:

One witness claims a police officer told him that the suspect (or at least one of them) was “a black male in all-black”:

The good news is that there are no fatalities, so hopefully it remains that way and those injured go on to make full recoveries. It may seem unlikely given the update that 9 of the victims are in a ‘life-threatening’ condition, but all we can do is hope for the best. More as it comes in…
