YouTuber Mr Crafty Pants Arrested For Child Porn
Popular YouTuber Mr. Crafty Pants has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing sexual images of children on social media, which I guess is pretty on brand for someone who calls themselves Mr. Crafty Pants.
The YouTuber, real name Michael David Booth, has over half a million subscribers and hundreds of thousands of followers on social media for his DIY craft tutorials.
The 39-year-old was arrested at his home in Kentucky over the alleged possession of six explicit photos; three which showed children under 12 and three that depicted teenagers.

According to the arrest report, the images of under-12s were shared at least 12 times, and those of the teens were distributed at least 15 times.
The images were allegedly sent from Mr Crafty Pants’s Kik account between August 5 and August 7, according to Fox 56. Investigators also found two selfies photos of Mr. CP on the account, which basically confirmed it belonged to him.
Additionally, the IP address used to distribute the images returned as Booth’s home address. Well and truly busted…

A neighbour, Lindsay Smart, who witnessed the arrest of Mr. Crafty Pants noted that he had a Halloween sign up on his lawn that read “I smell children”. Yikes.
She told WDRB: “You feel like you know your neighbors, but what goes on behind closed doors…I guess we never know,” Smart said. “It’s sickening, it’s disgusting, and I’m so glad he got caught.”
You and us both, Lindsay!
In the end, Mr. CP was charged with at least 20 counts of distributing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash and he has been ordered to have no contact with minors, and no Internet or social media access. So I guess we can kiss the Mr. Crafty Pants YouTube channel goodbye.
