After already being dropped by their management and put under police investigation, British punk duo Bob Vylan have now had their US visas revoked in the aftermath of leading ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Death to the IDF’ chants at Glastonbury.
This means Bob Vylan’s US tour, which was scheduled to kick off in October, will no longer be happening.
US deputy secretary of state Christopher Landau confirmed:
“The (state department) has revoked the US visas for the members of the Bob Vylan band in light of their hateful tirade at Glastonbury, including leading the crowd in death chants.”
“Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country.”
As the old saying goes: if you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticise. After all, Bob Vylan could have said what they said about any other military organisation, and they probably would’ve been fine. Although I guess maybe it would not have gone viral if they said it about any other country’s military.
It gets even worse Bob Vylan, as Avon and Somerset police have also since confirmed that ‘further enquiries are required, and a criminal investigation is now being undertaken’ into the sets of Bob Vylan and Kneecap, with a senior detective appointed to lead the investigation.
Meanwhile, everyone on the Epstein list is free to move around the world, carte blanche, with zero criminal investigations pending. Funny how that works.
Time will tell how this all pans out for Bob Vylan. They could end up in jail, fade into obscurity, or this could prove to be a masterclass in marketing and their careers could well and truly take off in the long run.
Unfortunately for them, there’ll be plenty of powerful and influential people attempting to ensure the latter does not happen.
